Banyak sekali kami jumpai petani yang tidak mengetahui ukuran dosis virtako untuk padi yang pas dan sesuai, kebanyakan petani hanya menerka - nerka ukuran dosis virtako. Ketika menggunakan virtako untuk padi, kebanyakan petani mengukur dosisnya dengan menggunakan tutup botol kemasan virtako, padahal ukuran seperti ini belum terjamin ketepatannya. Jika menggunakan insektisida virtako yang tidak sesuai dosis maka efeknya akan negatif, misalnya jika ukuran dosisnya kurang maka daya kerja bahan aktif insektisida Virtako tidak akan maksimal dalam mengendalikan hama sasaran. Dan jika ukuran dosisnya lebih maka akan terjadi pemborosan, karena kita ketahui semua, bahwa harga Virtako yang tergolong mahal. Maka dari itu sangat penting untuk menentukan dengan tepat ukuran dosis virtako untuk padi.
